Our Story

Missy Anthony, a longtime resident of Alabaster, AL, opened Glitz & Gowns in August, 2011.  She realized the people in central Alabama were in need of a retailer that could provide current, high-quality formal wear sold by a caring, professional staff.  With Missy's retail management experience and a Fashion Merchandising degree from Florida State University, she was equipped with an eye for the right gowns and a heart for exceeding customers' expectations of what a special occasion buying experience should be.
